The Pregnancy Affirmations I Needed To Hear This Week
& maybe you need to hear these too.
Hi friends, Randi here!
I am currently 28 weeks pregnant with my second baby. Another girl, yay! We are thrilled.
But lately every time I go out in public I’ve been getting a ton of unsolicited comments from well meaning random people who simply must comment on my size. It’s rough out there friends. So after a day or so of stewing on in (again) I decided to work on my own mindset and speak over myself the things that are true, and have nothing to do with my “looking like I’m about to pop”.
I am growing a whole human complete with BONE, muscle, a brain, and EYEBALLS!
Pregnancy is nothing short of miraculous and my body just knows how to do it!
My body was made to stretch and adapt, it’s really cool how far it’ll go to create life.
What other people think simply doesn’t matter.
My pregnancy experience is mine, I can’t compare my body or my baby or my family to anyone else’s, they’re not the same.
I am healthy.
I am strong.
I probably should drink more water though… :)
My toddler is thriving, even if I’m having trouble keeping up.
I have an amazing village of people here to help and support me.
I will know how to navigate the rest of this pregnancy.
It’s good to feel the feels, and then let them go.
There is nothing wrong with wearing yoga pants everyday.
Someday soon I’ll look back on this season and be so proud of myself.
This cute little baby is 110% worth it, now and always.
I know my body and my baby better than anyone.
I have built a birth team that I love and has my back.
Even though it’s painful to move now, it won’t always be that way.
Birth is nothing to fear.
Getting sleep whenever I can is a good thing, nap it up.
Ok, so maybe some of those might be too Randi specific to apply to you, but I hope they inspire you to make a list for yourself.
Be kind to yourself. Give grace to this amazing body you are walking around in while creating LIFE!
And if you see a pregnant person out there in the wild, waddling around, give them a smile, or a “you’ve got this”, because it really matters.
