Hi, I’m randi!
I dance like Elaine.
Marquette is my happy place.
I’m usually covered in either paint or flour.
I might love Bluey even more than my toddler - which is a LOT.
I love to pray for my clients.
I think you’re the best.
And I KNOW you’ve got this!
I laugh at every single “that’s what she said” joke my husband makes. They are frequent and terrible, but also perfect.
I will never turn down chocolate and peanut butter.
I was diagnosed with ADHD in my 30s. It was a huge shift to get used to the idea that my brain processes things differently than my neurotypical pals, but I've found in many ways it is a superpower. Especially in the birth world where every single birth is unpredictable and new! I'm never bored!
2020 inspired an attempt at raised-bed gardening, and 5 years later it's evolved to 3 beds, 2 trellises, a blueberry hedge in our side yard, and an epic front yard takeover too! It’s a lot, but nothing beats homegrown tomatoes and cucumbers and seeing the wildlife flock to our urban home.
I always knew I wanted to be an artist even in kindergarten, it's in my bones to seek beauty.
My husband Joel and I had a whirlwind romance during the pandemic, and our handmade outdoor backyard wedding in 2020 was so dreamy. For two introverts we sure LOVE to throw a good party!
Our daughter Juniper Prudence was born via a midwife-assisted unmedicated hospital birth. I did scream, "Next time I'm getting an epidural!" but I didn't really mean it...probably. My birth story can be found here.
I literally listen to podcasts like Criminal, Armchair Expert, and My Favorite Murder all. day. long. I'm fascinated by stories of growth, resilience, the bittersweet, and the baffling.
It is important for me to find time to decompress. For me, that often looks like prayer, a long walk in the woods, a beer on the beach (my fave!), or more realistically lately it's been Schitt’s Creek after bedtime with my love.
